These are our available foster dogs. If you are interested in adopting a greyhound, please fill out an application, and we will contact you to begin the process. If you have already adopted a greyhound from us, contact your placement rep to ask about one of these greyhounds. Please note that while the dogs on here are technically available, someone else may also be looking at the same dog; therefore, we suggest you look at several that you think might fit into your household. Also, as part of the screening process, we will determine what personality would best fit into your home, so while you may find a particular dog very striking to you, he or she may not be a good fit. If you have any questions about the process, you can read more about it here.

We have a few special foster greyhounds who are looking for just the right home. You can see their profiles here.

There are 27 adoptable greyhounds.

Polar
Hi, I'm Polar, aka PB's Polar Star. They call me, Polar and I L O V E to play. My hock is repaired and I am ready for my forever home. In the meantime, I play with my people, my fellow greyhounds and anything I can toss in the air and catch as I run around the yard. I am one of those wonderful greyhounds that brings a smile to your face just because I'm around.

Embry
Hi everyone! This new retirement life sure is strange...no more racetracks, no more bunnies to chase as fast as I can...so now what? I was pretty good at racing, you know. Being a four-year old guy, you can tell I was at it for quite some time. But, now it’s the home life for me. All my greyt pals tell me it’s the best. I’m a bit of a worrier you know, so it’s taking me awhile to relax and be as confident here as I was on the track. My foster mom is the best and she’s showing me exactly how terrific this new life is. Boy, do I believe her! I’ve got a toy box to clean out when I want, four other dogs to play and run around with, walks to go on, and all the affection in the world. I’m getting used to this retirement life pretty darned quickly! Doggy doors, toys, new friends...I’ve got it all. I’m now showing my new confidence when my family comes home and, on occasion, I get kind of goofy bouncing around for them! You’re going to love me!

Nike
Hi, my name is Nike, aka Ahk Texas Mike. OK...Nike shoes...super fast...Nike Missiles...even faster...Nike the dog...very fast, but ready to retire! I’m four years old and Nike shoes and missiles can’t claim that great age and still go like the wind. I can, but it’s time to slow down. The “Fabulous FastFriends” know just how wonderful I am. They gave me a foster home and a vacation home...how sweet is that? I’m kind of on the shy side ‘cause everything’s so new, but they’re taking excellent care of me and, boy, am I learning things quickly! Rides in the car are such fun I just lay right down and enjoy the fact that something else is responsible for the rate at which we move. I know when and where to use the “facilities”, I think scratches behind the ears are a new revelation that better go on forever, and doggy beds especially for me are a huge comfort! I like other greyhounds, pepperoni, and peanut butter. All right, I’ve admittedly got a little bit of a quirky appetite, but I hear you guys eat stuff like broccoli, spinach, and mushrooms...well, yuk! Are you going to visit soon? Bet you’ll like me!!

Ranowski
Hi, my name is Ranowski, aka Bella Brancusi. but my foster mom calls me, Randy. I have a broken hock and so, I am in a holding pattern for a while. I hear that there is already someone interested in me when I have recovered. That sure is good news!

Bachelor
Hi, my name is Bachelor, aka Flying Bachelor. and I am looking for a family with whom I can share my life. The students out there at Mt. San Antonio College took very good care of me, but I longed for my own home. Then I moved to my foster home and, WOW! do I love my foster family! But, I bet I won’t be a bachelor here for long...I’m just too gorgeous inside and out. I give greyt kisses, I love to be right alongside you and even will lay on the kitchen floor while you cook dinner and all the other dogs just walk all around me...I’m a real “lover boy.” Love my walks that we go on everyday here. Lots of nifty things to see and explore. I ride easily in the car, too...doesn’t matter when the other guys tend to walk all over me! I’m almost five years old...guess that’s why I can be mature about these minor transgressions! I’m a fun-loving fellow who would be thrilled to meet you...come see me soon.

Soulshot
Hi, my name is SoulShot, aka Soulshot. Pretty cool name, don't you think? I really enjoyed my stay at Mt. San Antonio College. My friends, Dart and Lefty, and I were right next to the horticulture department with all those pretty flowers and were taken care of by the students. From there I went to a foster home to see what retirement life was all about and that’s where I am now. I love it! There are other dogs here, too and we all get along well. I’m very friendly and outgoing, so it’s easy for me to greet everyone with ease and affection...probably not so with cats, though. They appear a bit strange to me. I know all about doggy doors, riding in cars and walking on a leash. I’m told that I’m an “absolutely gorgeous” four year old, but I really wouldn’t know about that. I do know I’m anxious for my “forever home.”
